Willow Wonder
Willow started on her dance path at a very young age on the West Coast. After graduating high school from the San Francisco School of the Arts, she went on to complete a BFA degree in Modern Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase and the London Contemporary School of Dance. After dancing briefly in a Belly Dance Company based in NYC, she moved to VT in 2000 and began teaching, choreographing and performing. She taught at Moving Light Dance for 10 years and was an integral part of the creation of The Green Mountain Nutcracker. She now teaches at Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio in Montpelier. She also teaches Pilates classes and privates at Essential PT and Pilates and continues to work with an array of VT based Dance artists such as Hannah Dennison, Polly Motley and Paul Besaw. Her passion for Improvisation is strong and all began in a class taught by Neil Greenberg called Advanced Improvisation at SUNY Purchase in 1997. Thanks Neil!
MC DeBelina
MC DeBelina is the owner and director of Dance And Movement Center in Barre, VT - an inclusive dance studio for all ages and abilities.
MC DeBelina’s focus since 2008 has been primarily teaching children creative dance and raising her growing family. MC studied Biology and Dance at Dartmouth College (B.A. 2005) and combined her two passions at Sarah Lawrence College receiving an MFA in Dance (2008). Her thesis work focused on the links between science and art.
Emma Manion
Bio: A Vermont native with a B.A. in Dance and Humanities from Bennington College, Emma Manion exercises a lifelong fascination with the human body’s composition, capabilities, means of creative expression, and direct link to quality of life. Her work as a Dance Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Choreographer illustrates her passion for moving with curiosity alongside mechanical awareness. Her performative works historically involve theatrics and humor with every choreographed count and detail poured over, but lately leaning into vulnerability/knot knowing/surrendering to spontaneity has been a favorite way to play.
Ann Bosse
Ann Bosse has been a body in motion since childhood. She formally began taking dance class at age 15 in Philadelphia, PA. Her first exposure to modern dance was a Graham technique class with the esteemed Pat Thomas at The University of the Arts summer program. It was love at first contraction. Ann went on to study dance in college earning her B.S. in Dance Performance and Choreography from Skidmore College in 1999. During her years at Skidmore Ann was fortunate to be able to study with and perform the works of Ellen Sinopoli, Kenneth Topping, Niles Ford, Garth Fagan Dance and the Mark Morris Dance Group.
DANCE AND Movement Center aims to be an accessible, collaborative, inclusive space.
We hope to provide a safe space for people to connect with their own bodies as well as other like-minded individuals. Serving all ages, with many different avenues to connect through movement and dance, in a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
