What is the healing capacity of dance? And how is it currently being used therapeutically? 

This year's Spring Symposium explores the intersection of dance and mental health. Four presenters of different backgrounds lead workshops that demonstrate how they each employ dance or movement for healing.

with Millie Heckler, award-winning interdisciplinary dance artist, lecturer in dance, and 2024 VDA resident

with M Sara McMahon, Director/Founder of Movement for Parkinson's, Dance for PD® Certified Teaching Artist, and retired Clinical Mental Health Clinician 

3:15 - 4:30 PM - "Burlesque and Understanding the Self"
with Vie Mazur, burlesque performer and instructor and Candidate for Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UVM
