Presented by the Vermont Dance Alliance Residency Program, “Subtle Rage” is a multidisciplinary performance piece created by Millie Heckler that merges dance, voice and original music to tell a story of rage, sensuality and forgiveness. This work asks: In what ways—subtle and obvious—does rage take shape in your body and life? How can we move with rage to redirect its path? How can we use movement to transform the destructive impact of rage into weapons of mass creation? With an original soundtrack and the expertise of seven eclectic performers embodying various artistic, ethnic and gender backgrounds, this work offers embodied tools for healing and dealing with a rage-inducing world.

Alex practices improvisational dance. They create placed based work that maps the emotional landscapes of being human and unleashes the emergent magic of embodied presence. Alex loves organizing community movement practices from ceremonies honoring our dead to dance parties just for the fun of it!
Isadora has been teaching, performing, and creating work in Central Vermont since 2010. Based out of Barre, she teaches classes in Montpelier at Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio and has taught at several other Vermont studios over the years. Those studios include Dance Works Academy, Ballet Wolcott, and Stowe Dance Academy.
Her main focus as a teacher has been Ballet for the past several years. She is passionate about bringing the artistry and discipline of classical ballet to non-ballet focused dancers. In addition to classical ballet, she teaches contemporary ballet, modern, and jazz. As a mover and choreographer, modern is her true home.
Her practice is listening. Her artistic work centers the activation of VOICE. How many voices live inside my body and how loud can we get? She thinks that if maybe we spent more energy giving voice to our secrets, the weight our secrets carry might transform into something else.
Tina Forés-Hitt was brought up between the USA and Europe. She began her dance training at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza en Valencia, Spain and after graduating she became a member of the Diverse Space Dance Theatre in Austin, Texas. She started her BA in contemporary dance at ArtEZ Academy of the Arts in Holland and completed her studies at SEAD in Austria. The Spanish-American dancer then became a member of the BODHI PROJECT 2017-18, which toured worldwide performing pieces by a variety of choreographers.
Now living in the southern part of Vermont, Tina is eager and excited to get involved in the dance community as a performer, teacher and creator.
