I've been working on this solo show turned dance film for several years. It's a self-portrait in dance, bringing together the diverse ways of moving and being in my changing body, as a queer and disabled person. For the first time, all my modalities come together - floor, crutches, aerial apparatus, wheelchair, seats, structural props.

Contemporary dance is a fusion of ballet, modern, and jazz. Class consists of warm-ups - including floorwork and stretching, traveling across the floor with simple movement phrases, and learning a short piece of contemporary choreography. 

We’re excited to announce our annual Teen Jazz and Junior Company Tour Preview! The performance will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 7pm in the Chapel at 36 College Street. The performance features both Teen Jazz and Junior Company dancers, and offers a look at the pieces they’ll be taking on tour in April.

A choreography-focused Modern and HipHop Fusion class designed to help students develop their ability to “lyrically enunciate” through movement while staying grounded in the rhythmic structure of the music. This class encourages personal interpretation and connection to sound, with phrase work that can be scaled for intermediate and advanced dancers.

The Junction Dance Festival Returns to Ignite the Upper Valley and Barre! 

Get ready to move and be inspired! The Junction Dance Festival (TJDF) is back, transforming the Upper Valley and Barre, Vermont, into a vibrant hub of dance from July 12th to July 20th. This annual event champions joy, connection, and gratitude, making the transformative power of movement accessible to all.

Leonardo Brito of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater teaches an Open Level Contemporary class for adult movers. 

Dance and perform to your favorite pop songs! This fun week-long modern dance intensive is designed for teens ready to move, perform and have fun. Each morning we will have a modern dance class followed by a choreographic session and rehearsal for our Friday performance. This will be followed by lunch and an afternoon session of rehearsal. Campers will work together with Nathalie to create a final performance to be presented Friday afternoon. No dance experience necessary, just an interest in working hard and having fun!

Slow Shapes Dance company presents "Seasonal Impression". Our annual, full-length production brings a year of seasons to the stage through intentional movement based in contemporary dance. Original choreography from Artistic Director, Sarah Ryan, and company members, Samantha Witham and Mickey Zadworny, will be shown. We would love to share this performance with you. It's an evening of dance you won't want to miss. Two nights only! This is a family-friendly show.
