The grain is sown, gathered and stored. It’s cataloged and cared for. 
The grain is what we have come to know. And it will be what feeds us. 
But there is weather on the horizon. And scarcity at hand.

Ailey II merges extraordinary talent – to embody legendary choreographer Alvin Ailey’s pioneering mis

In this improvisational dance class, students will explore: What is rage? What are its various tones, textures and subtleties? Is there something that lies beneath this fierce and frenetic energy? Is there something your rage is trying to tell you or protect you from? Through dance, we engage in self-defense and group empowerment exercises that give our rage a voice and body through which to speak. Instead of resisting rage, we move with it to focus its energy and remember its creative potential.

Brother(hood) Dance! brings an excerpt/duet iteration of their work Black On Earth to The Sable Project's Food & Art Friday. Black on Earth is an innovative and thought-provoking Interdisciplinary project that seamlessly integrates dance, agriculture, and technology to explore the stories of and experiences of Black farmers.
