Blair Bean is a Burlington-based dancer, choreographer, and dance coach. She has trained in jazz and contemporary for the past 15 years. She is also a recreational tap and ballet dancer, and social salsa and bachata dancer.
As a choreographer, Blair focuses primarily on contemporary and jazz movement as well as structured improvisation. Her work has been performed at the American College Dance Association’s New England Conference and UVM’s Dancing Uphill, among others. She is interested in expanding her work to include more site-specific work, multi-media performance, and to include more improvisation in the future.
Blair is the Junior Varsity dance coach at South Burlington High School where she choreographs and coaches pom and jazz dances which are performed and competed statewide.
She is currently an undergraduate at the University of Vermont. Blair is interested in the field of Arts Administration and hopes to pursue a career in the dance world after graduation.
