Doctor Vu, the Wibbly Wobbly Boobie Woobie Time Lady of Burlesque, is a well-known figure in the
Vermont burlesque community, beginning her career in 2012. She is a Sugar Shaker, production
assistant, and choreographer with the Green Mountain Cabaret, Vermont’s premier burlesque troupe
and production company.
Doctor Vu performs across an array of stages, encompassing local and national venues, including
Burlesque Festivals such as the NOLA Nerdlesque Festival, Vermont Burlesque Festival, online Fierce!
Queer Performing Arts Festival, and the RVA Burlesque Festival.
With over six years of prominence as a leading burlesque instructor in Vermont, Doctor Vu draws from a wealth of artistry cultivated
from implementing successful classes and workshops at the Flynn, RevolVT, Lines Vermont, and various studios across
the state. This extensive experience, blending dance pedagogy with a profound practical understanding
of burlesque, underpins Doctor Vu's classes, designed to embrace both beginners and seasoned
enthusiasts. Each class cultivates an environment that fosters artistic expression, encouraging students
to delve deeper into the world of burlesque and enriching their engagement with the art form so that they are never afraid to try a movement on before taking something off. Doctor Vu now takes this love of education, and her knowledge of EDtech, to assist other Burlesque professionals bring their courses online as the Chair of Virtual BurlyCon.
