MONICA CALLAN has been making theater for decades, with a varied repertoire including a particular penchant for directing and supporting new works in development. She has trained with various professional stage and film masters, and received a bachelors degree in Theater Arts from Emerson College, and Arts Administration Certificate from NYU, and is an alumni of the Atlantic School of Acting in NYC.  She is an actor, director, designer, and educator, teaching theater and visual art in environments that span prisons, conservatories and museums.  Among her many other hats, she is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Grange Hall Cultural Center a multidisciplinary arts center in central Vermont, and on the board of Across Roads Center for the Arts, and NY Madness.  She is also a member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA and the Vermont REALTOR Association.  

She is the creator of programming such as the "One & Only Series," a celebration of solo performance of all kinds, "Art Jam," an alchemy of evocative innovation and dynamic expression between artists of varied disciplines, and the "Vermont Contemporary Playwrights' Forum," developing new work of all kinds for the stage.  She welcomes artistic collaboration with dancers of all styles to create new work and new experiences, from pure dance form to conjunction with other other kinds of art forms for the stage and the classroom.
