Nicole Conte
BIO:

Nicole dances and performs with Moving Spirit Dancers, the Raqs Salaam Dance Theater, and through Open Door Wellness Center, and previously with Flock Dance Troupe and the Eleonora Stein Academy. She likes to combine music and/or singing with movement and has danced with finger cymbals, hand drums, tambourines and wooden spoons. Nicole has been an actor and singer with BarnArts Center for the Arts and co-directed BarnArts' first Arts-in-Education play, The Little Prince.

Nicole is an educator with a focus on interdisciplinary place-based education. She has taught at arts and science centers, schools, nature camps, conferences and resorts, and has led many programs for children, including creative arts & science, creative dance & drama and family movement. She volunteers as a board member of the Vermont Education and Environment Network. (Degrees: Dartmouth College - AB, psychology/learning & elementary education; Antioch University New England - MS, environmental studies/education)

*How might we collaborate? I am most interested in working with other dancers and choreographers on site-specific projects (especially outdoors) and on interdisciplinary art projects that create community, connection and compassion.
